After measuring the Ryan residence in New Glasgow, I began to draft the floor plans and couldn’t figure out why the 2nd floor had more square footage than the main floor, drove back, remeasured and took lots of pictures. While looking through all the pictures, I paused and thought, wait a minute, the upper level is cantilevered by 12″! Nothing can compare to experience gained from trial and error.
The moral of the story: take lots of pictures inside and out!
